PYTHOUSE KITCHEN GARDEN SHOP
This is situated in a beautiful 18th Century walled garden about 2 ˝ miles west of Tisbury on the road between Newtown and Semley. For a map & detailed directions follow the 'Contact Us' link above. We aim to stock all the items you would expect to find in a good local delicatessen or farm shop. The emphasis is on local produce wherever possible including fruit, vegetables and flowers from Pythouse Kitchen Garden itself. Our lamb, beef and chicken is all organic, reared at Pythouse Farm to Soil Association organic standards. We also stock condiments and delicatessen items from further afield.
Our walled garden is at the heart of the Cranborne Chase & West Wiltshire Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. We are only about 2 hours drive from London and so our area makes a perfect destination for a weekend away. To help with planning such a weekend our Links page gives contact details for various local tourist agencies and of local self-catering and bed & breakfast accommodation. Attractions within easy reach include Stonehenge, one of the past's most enduring mysteries, Salisbury Cathedral with the tallest mediavel spire in Europe, Stourhead Gardens, an 18th Century landscape garden with numerous follies and walks around a fine lake, Wilton House, A grand Palladian house with a very fine art collection and Longleat House widely regarded as the best example in Britain of high Elizabethan architecture. Lastly just 2 miles away from our garden there is Old Wardour Castle, a romantic ruined 14th Century fortified but also showy and luxurious residence that was partially destroyed during a siege in the 17th Century Civil War between Charles I and his Parliament..

The Potting Shed Café
Our charming Cafe in a former potting shed is open from 8.30am to 5pm serving Breakfast, Morning Coffee, Lunch and Afternoon Teas - everything is home made using our own Organic Beef, Lamb and Free Range Organic Chicken and fresh fruit and vegetables straight from our Victorian Kitchen Garden.. The Cafe overlooks the garden. In fine weather you can sit out on a terrace under parasols or at tables under the fruit trees in the garden itself. In bad weather you can enjoy the warmth of the cafe's wood-burning stove. The cafe and terrace make a perfect location for intimate evening parties. Online sales
You can buy our organic lamb, beef and chicken fresh (chilled) by following the 'Buy Online' link here. All such orders are delivered by courier and are subject to our terms and conditions.
Box scheme and courier delivery
We deliver boxes of organic lamb, beef and chicken and/or boxes of vegetables and other produce (some but not all organic) by van to addresses within the local area. For people living further away, we deliver fresh or frozen meat and frozen meat dishes by courier. Please contact Ian Best at the shop for further details
Pythouse Club
We have recently obtained planning permission to construct a new club house for Pythouse Club which is situated at the foot of the hill below our kitchen garden shop. The new club will have an outdoor heated pool, 6 hard tennis courts and a cricket ground. The club house will boast a bistro & bar, changing rooms, treatemnt rooms,gym and creche.
